Trafford Council Judging
From July 6th 2015 Janet Long, the Allotments Officer, visits every site in Trafford to judge the following:

Best Site in the Borough
Best Site in the Area (Urmston)
Best Plot in Borough
Best 1/2 plot in Borough

Every plot in Trafford is automatically entered into the Competition however your plot will not be judged if the Plot number is not clearly shown.

Environmental Award – This award is for all plots that are totally organic and is open to all allotment holders who grow organically. If you would like to enter please obtain your entry forms from your Site Secretary.

Urmston Allotments Judging

During the week commencing 19th July, independent judges from the Borough will visit all 8 UAGS sites to judge the best overall in each category as follows:

• The best full plot (over 125 sq metres or 150 sq yards )
• The best half plot (under 125 sq metres or 150 sq yards)
• The best full plot flower border
• Best half plot flower border
• The best full plot onions (100 onions)
• The best half plot onions (50 onions)

All nominations are made by your site committees who will enter you into the UAGS competition. Prizes are awarded to the winners in each category by site and then the best in each category will be presented with their prizes at the AGM in March 2016.
